Our Programs
Inspiring young minds through faith and Montessori education.
At Montessori West Christian School, we believe every stage of a child’s development is an opportunity to nurture independence, character, and a love of learning. Our programs serve children from toddler age through kindergarten, with enrichment options like bilingual education and summer camp. Each program is designed to meet the child where they are and guide them with purposeful learning, all within a Christ-centered Montessori environment.
Pre-Primary Program (Ages 15 months - 3 years)
Igniting curiosity through purposeful play.
The Preprimary Program introduces children to the core areas of Montessori learning: practical life, sensorial, language, and early math. At this stage, children are deeply engaged in repetition, exploration, and mastering basic life skills. Teachers gently guide children toward focus, respect, and responsibility, while faith and character lessons are built into daily routines.
- Hands-On Learning: Children use Montessori materials to explore concepts through touch and movement.
- Focus & Concentration: Structured freedom helps children develop attention span and task completion.
- Grace & Courtesy: Daily lessons in respect, kindness, and polite social behavior.
- Faith Foundation: Simple Bible stories and songs introduce God’s love and moral lessons.
Primary Program (Ages 3 – 6 years)
Building confidence and love of learning.
In this next phase, children work with materials that challenge their thinking and deepen their understanding of numbers, language, and culture. The primary classroom supports the child’s growing ability to work independently, concentrate for longer periods, and collaborate with peers. Montessori tools help make abstract concepts real, and Biblical values are thoughtfully integrated into each day.
- Early Academics: Introduction to numbers, letter sounds, and writing through concrete materials.
- World Awareness: Lessons in geography, science, and culture nurture curiosity about the world.
- Peer Collaboration: Mixed-age classrooms encourage leadership and empathy.
- Biblical Values: Faith is woven into learning through scripture, prayer, and moral application.
Kindergarten Program (Ages 5 – 6 years)
Preparing for elementary success with heart and mind.
Our full-day Kindergarten offers a rich blend of academic, social, and spiritual growth. Children dive deeper into reading, writing, math operations, geography, and more. They also serve as role models for younger students in the classroom, reinforcing their leadership and responsibility. With strong moral guidance and Montessori mastery, graduates are well prepared for their next steps in education and life.
- Reading & Writing: Children begin reading books and writing words with growing fluency.
- Math Operations: Montessori materials support addition, subtraction, and understanding quantity.
- Leadership Role: Kindergartners mentor younger students and model responsibility.
- Spiritual GrowthDeeper discussions on faith, virtue, and service to others.
